We have arrived

Even a snow day for the rest of you back at Watkinson could keep us from Oaxaca. Surprisingly there was little traffic on the way to NYC and our flights were relatively on time. Arriving in Oaxaca we were greeted by the glow of the city amidst the mountains and the warm breeze once we got off the plane. At the hotel, we were met by Enid our tour coordinator, given gift baskets with local goodies and then the students were off for a quick swim in the pool. Tomorrow is a morning of being tourists and then it is off to Casa Hogar to meet the children. Expect pics late tomorrow!

  1. A midnight swim sounds like the perfect way to cap off a long day of travel! Glad to hear you made it safely (not that Mr. Byrne wasn't glued to Flight Tracker all day:-). We got 17 inches of snow at our house yesterday, and on the other side of town they got only 6 inches!

Enjoy your first day in Mexico. I'm sure there is a very excited group of children waiting for you at Casa Hogar! Make sure to update the blog often!!
